This ACTIVE GROUPS/ TEAMs portion of the GNSO web site is designed to offer users a chronological view of the documents associated with each of the current Working Group and Drafting Teams, created by the GNSO Council. Once the Council formally adopts a Charter regarding a specific effort, a dedicated page appears in this section of the web site. In order to create a fulsome record of materials associated with each project, active project pages include both documents created by the GNSO and other documents relevant to the project.
Within each group or team page, a summary of the team's purpose is provided along with a status indicator of the phase of the effort. Where appropriate, each group or team page also includes links to the following:
- Web presence such as the WIKI and Email List
- Responsible Staff Member(s)
- Request for a Preliminary Issue Report, which may be initiated by the Board, the GNSO Council, or an Advisory Committee (read more in section 2 of the Policy Development Process (PDP) Manual)
- Preliminary and Final Issue Reports identifying the issue that may require policy development, as well as the public comment on the Preliminary Issue Report (read more in section 5 and 6 of the PDP Manual)
- Board or GNSO Resolution initiating the Working Group/Drafting Team effort (read more in section 7 of the PDP Manual)
- Working Group/Drafting Team Charter (read more in section 8 of the PDP Manual)
- Outreach conducted by the Working Group to request input from Supporting Organizations/Advisory Committees and GNSO Stakeholder Groups/Constituencies, as well as comments received from these groups in response to the request (read more in section 8 of the PDP Manual)
- Working Group/Drafting Team work products, such as Policy Development Process Working Group Initial and Final Reports, as well as the public comment on the Initial Report (read more in section 10 and 11 of the PDP Manual)
